Initiative 1240 in Seattle

As of Thursday afternoon the results of Initiative 1240 are as follows:

Yes 51.1%
No 48.9%

If this initiative does get passed, many charter schools will open in and around the Seattle area in the next few years.  I am so excited about this possibility!  Well-run charter schools see tremendous growth from scholars of all different socioeconomic backgrounds.  I would be honored to work in one of the first charter schools in the state of Washington.
